The rescheduled Skunk River Enduro was held on May 5th . The 134 riders were treated to over 70 miles of off- road trails, laid out by the Turkey Scratch Enduro Riders. Temperatures approached 80 degrees and rain just a few days before the race made the trails like Velcro. Only a few soft spots tested the unwary.

At 9:00 a.m. the riders were slated to attack the first section, which, started out in the sandy river bottoms and moved up into the wooded hillsides. This section was 10.6 miles long. The first check was placed at the first available 3.2 miles out - since the race was run at a straight 24 mph average. A check out was at 10.4 with a gas available at 10.6. No resets were given here which lead to riders compounding points through the next 16.9 section.

A second gas available was at 27.6 miles. A reset over 37 minutes long put riders back on time before going out and repeating the course a second time. No reset given again. This led to some large scores for this enduro.
